1. Power selection
Solar power flood light ranges from 20W to 1000W; however, how much power should I choose? If you plan to use the light for your home's backyard, barbecue parties, or outdoor events, the lux level should be around 100. How can I find the corresponding wattage? For example, if you have a 50 square meter yard, the required brightness is 50 x 100 = 5000 lumens. For an LED with 130 lumens per watt, the required power is 5000 / 130 = 38.5W. So a 40W LED would be suitable. This value will increase with the size of your backyard and your requirements.
2. Service life
Lamps with a longer lifespan are always your best option, as new lamps can be expensive to buy and install, especially if you're doing a large-scale replacement. If the lights are turned on 10 hours a day, the LEDs can run for 22 years.
3. Waterproof
Waterproofing is an important feature of outdoor Solar power flood light. To be able to work in rain and snow storms, the luminaire should have at least an IP65 degree of protection.
4. Heat dissipation
A good quality Solar power flood light should have an effective cooling system to transfer heat from the internal structure to the outside. Aluminum is a good conductive material for making heat dissipation systems. We can choose LEDs made of aluminum or related alloys.
